Privacy Policy
Trajectory Enterprise LLC ("Trajectory," "we," "us," or "our") operates as a leadership-development consultancy doing business as Trajectory Enterprise. We are an Illinois limited liability company with a principal place of business at 1449 S Michigan Ave #620, Chicago, IL 60605.
This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect through our website, our leadership assessment tool, and our sales process; why we collect it; who we share it with; and the choices you have. It applies to visitors to our website, users of our leadership assessment, and individuals and organizations we communicate with as prospects or clients.
1. Information We Collect
We collect different information depending on how you interact with us.
Contact form. If you fill out the contact form on our website, we collect your name and email address.
Lead-magnet downloads. If you download a free resource from our website, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and an "audience" field that tells us which segment of visitor you identify as, which we use to route you relevant follow-up content.
Leadership assessment — two paths.
- Anonymous path. You may take our leadership assessment without providing any name, email, or other identifying information. In this case, your survey answers and the resulting archetype and depletion-stage scores are not linked to any identity we hold. We do not know who you are, and there is no personal information for us to protect, delete, or disclose in connection with that specific assessment session, because none was collected.
- Identified path. If you choose to receive your personalized PDF report, you enter your email address (and any name field offered); that email field is itself your request that we deliver the report to you. We link your email to your survey answers and your resulting archetype and depletion-stage score in order to generate and deliver your report. The identified-path assessment form also collects the same "audience" segmentation field described above. Whether you also receive ongoing marketing email from us is a separate, optional choice, made through its own checkbox, unchecked by default.
- Your generated PDF report is stored, not just emailed. On the identified path, the report file itself is stored on our infrastructure (Vercel Blob) so it can be generated and delivered, with private access controls rather than a publicly guessable or browsable URL.
Which path applies to a given assessment session is your choice, made at the point you decide whether to enter an email address.
Group assessments. Trajectory sometimes runs the assessment as part of a specific coaching engagement or workshop, using a shared group link so a set of respondents' results can be reviewed together internally. Group assessments are organized by Trajectory itself, not by any outside company or sponsor, and no employer, client organization, or other outside party ever receives your individual responses or results.
The same anonymous and identified paths described above apply to a group assessment, and they work exactly the same way. If you take a group assessment anonymously, we have no way to identify you, including within that group. If you take it on the identified path, we see your response tied to the contact information you provided, in the same way we do for any identified-path assessment.
Sales calls. If you have a sales call with us, the call is conducted over Google Meet and may be recorded and transcribed, with Google acting as the processor of that recording and transcript. See Section 6 below for how we obtain your consent to this.
Website analytics. We plan to install Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure site traffic and usage. GA4 is not active as of this policy's effective date. When it is installed, this section will be updated to describe what GA4 collects and how to opt out.
HubSpot form-tracking cookie. Our contact form and lead-magnet download form are built on HubSpot's form infrastructure. HubSpot's embedded forms and tracking script set a first-party cookie (hubspotutk) in your browser to recognize repeat visits and associate form submissions with your browsing session.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Deliver what you asked for: respond to your contact-form message, send your requested lead-magnet download, and generate and email your personalized assessment report on the identified path.
- Manage our relationship with you as a lead or prospect: we store contact-form submissions, lead-magnet downloads, and identified-path assessment contacts in our CRM (HubSpot), and we may follow up with relevant information about our services.
- Send marketing email: if you provide your email through the contact form, a lead-magnet download, or the identified assessment path, we will add you to our marketing email list only if you affirmatively check the separate, optional marketing-consent checkbox shown to you at the point of collection. It is never pre-checked and never bundled into a required field. Your marketing-consent choice is recorded against your contact record: we store one of three states for every contact — opted in, declined, or never asked — and we honor whichever state applies. You can unsubscribe at any time, and every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link, which updates your stored state to declined.
- Improve our services: we may review aggregated, non-identifying assessment trends to improve the assessment itself.
- Conduct sales calls: scheduling, running, and, where consented to, recording and transcribing sales calls.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not otherwise share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only with the service providers who help us run our business, listed below. We do not share your assessment responses or results with any other party, including any organization that invited you to take a group assessment — see Section 1.
Trajectory runs two separate applications: the leadership-assessment service, where the assessment is taken and reports are generated, and the marketing website, the informational pages a visitor lands on. Their vendors are listed separately below.
Service providers for the assessment service:
| Provider | Role | What it processes |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting and serverless functions for the assessment service | Standard web request data (IP address, browser metadata); executes the report-generation logic |
| Neon | Postgres database for the assessment service | Assessment responses, generated-report metadata, associated identifiers (identified path only) |
| Vercel Blob | Stores the generated PDF report files | The PDF report itself (identified path only), stored with private access controls |
| Resend | Transactional and marketing email delivery | Email addresses, email content |
| HubSpot | CRM — stores contact records, marketing segmentation, and email campaign management; also sets the hubspotutk tracking cookie via its form embeds | Names, emails, the "audience" field, lead-magnet/contact-form/assessment submission records, and a browser cookie identifier |
| Google (Google Meet) | Records and transcribes sales calls | Audio, video, and transcripts of sales calls conducted over Google Meet |
Service providers for the marketing website:
| Provider | Role | What it processes |
|---|---|---|
| Hosting provider | Hosts the marketing website | Standard web request data (IP address, browser metadata) |
| Google Analytics 4 (GA4) | Planned, not yet active | Not yet active — see Section 1 |
Illinois law requires that a contract disclosing personal information include a provision requiring the recipient to maintain reasonable security measures. 815 ILCS 530/45(b). We require our service providers to handle personal information they process on our behalf with reasonable security measures accordingly.
4. Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose it was collected for, and for a reasonable period after that to maintain business records, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
When you ask us to delete your information, we do not remove your record from our systems entirely. We convert it to a tombstone record: your personal data (name, email, and any other identifying fields), your survey answers, and your generated PDF report are permanently erased at the time of deletion, and a minimal marker remains showing that a deletion occurred, with no personal data, survey answers, or report content attached to it. If someone later visits a report link you were previously sent, it will display a notice that the report was removed, rather than showing your report.
5. Security
We implement reasonable security measures designed to protect the personal information we hold from unauthorized access, acquisition, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. Any entity that owns, licenses, maintains, or stores records containing personal information concerning an Illinois resident must implement and maintain reasonable security measures to protect those records. 815 ILCS 530/45(a). We contractually require our service providers to maintain reasonable security measures for the personal information they process on our behalf, consistent with 815 ILCS 530/45(b).
6. Sales Calls May Be Recorded
Illinois is an "all-party consent" state for recording private conversations. Under 720 ILCS 5/14-2(a)(2), a person commits eavesdropping if they record a private conversation they are a party to without the consent of all other parties to that conversation. Before we record or transcribe a sales call, conducted over Google Meet, we obtain your affirmative consent, typically through a verbal disclosure at the start of the call or advance written notice with an opportunity to object. If you do not consent, we will not record the call, or we will stop recording upon your objection.
Trajectory's sales calls are inbound-only, originated by the prospect's own booking action through our scheduling link. We do not make outbound cold calls or send unsolicited SMS/text outreach.
7. Your Choices and How to Request Deletion
- Marketing email: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us directly (see Section 10) to be removed from our marketing list.
- Deletion requests: you may ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@trajectoryenterprise.com. When we delete your information, we erase your personal data, your survey answers, and your generated PDF report; a minimal tombstone marker remains in our systems reflecting that the deletion occurred, with no personal data, answers, or report content attached to it. Any previously shared report link will show a notice that the report was removed rather than displaying your report. We will honor reasonable deletion requests within a reasonable time.
- Anonymous assessment takers: if you took the assessment anonymously, whether through a general link or a group assessment link, we have no way to locate or delete a record tied to you, because none was created with identifying information attached.
8. Breach Notification
If a breach of our systems compromises personal information concerning Illinois residents, we will notify affected individuals in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, as required by the Illinois Personal Information Protection Act. 815 ILCS 530/10(a). If a single breach affects more than 500 Illinois residents, we will also notify the Illinois Attorney General, no later than when we notify affected consumers. 815 ILCS 530/10(e)(2).
We treat identified-path assessment data with the same security and breach-notification care as personal information protected under Illinois law, 815 ILCS 530/5, as a matter of practice.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are directed to businesses and working professionals, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as appropriate, for example a notice on our website. Continuing to use our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
